+I Knew And I Could See...+ by TownOfWolves +I Knew And I Could See...+ by TownOfWolves
The universe has a shitty sense of humour. X_x

Not only am I incredibly sick, but have come down with the one symptom NOT treated by the cough syrup I bought, managed to burn myself on my flattening iron on my dominant hand the night before one of my Design Drawing homework is due...and, to top it all off, have contracted stomach cramps.

X_x

As to the piece...the words are from the Sunset Rubdown song "A Day In The Graveyard II". Check it out. Or, well...just about any Sunset Rubdown song, actually. Spencer Krug is a god.

Done with sone wierd program on the Million Artist collab-thing advertised on the front page. Which, for those who haven't tried it yet, makes bare-bones oekaki look like Photoshop CS2. Worse yet, both wouldn't submit due to tech difficulties with my computer.

Go take part! XD

I love the composition in this drawing: the different pannels against the black background. It may seem a bit simple at first sight, but the truth is that those words made me think a lot (and I'm not sure I've got a conclusion, yet XD).
Really nice ^^

Heheh, thank you very much for your in-depth comment! It's really wonderful to get some real feedback beyond "that's cool", etc. Xppp

And yes, the words were enough to inspire the whole piece for me. If you're interested, check out all of Spencer Krug's (aka Sunset Rubdown) music; his lyrics are incredible for their ability to coomunicate narrative without necessarily being a story, per se.

example: "You are a waterfall waiting inside a well, you are a wrecking ball before the building fell. And every lightning rod's gotta watch the stormclouds come..."

(sorry, I'm rather in love with his songwriting XD)

No proble, I always try to say something more, because I think it's important ^^

I'll make sure to look for information about Spencer Krug, what you say sounds incredible.

I love the soft watercolor type effect you have going on there, and the warm colors too.
And the cute expression!
Clearly I could go on forever; nonetheless, I hope that you get better soon (and get revenge on your flattening iron of course) :D

Thanks, dearie. ^^ And I WOULD get vengeance, if I didn't need the thing. X_x
